Charyn Canyon, Lake Kaindy, Kolsai-2

08:00 — Meeting at the hotel and departure

• Meeting at the doors of your hotel or apartments. Beginning of the expedition to the main natural treasures of the region.

11:30 — Arrival at Charyn Canyon. Hiking 5 km

• Excursion along the famous "Valley of Castles." A warm-up hike awaits you: a walking descent and a stroll along the bottom of the gorge to a shady oasis by the turbulent Charyn River and back (total length — 5 km).

13:30 — Departure to Saty and to Lake Kaindy

• Gathering at the car and departure towards the Kungei Alatau mountain range to the main base village of Saty.

14:30 — Lunch

16:00 — Arrival at Lake Kaindy. Hiking 5 km

• Transfer to the unique high-altitude lake formed as a result of the devastating 1911 earthquake. The ice water that flooded the gorge literally "preserved" the century-old Tien Shan spruces. A picturesque trekking route with a length of 5 km through a dense coniferous forest to the panoramic viewpoints of the sunken forest awaits you. For those wishing to save strength, a horseback ride is possible (paid separately).

19:00 — Return to Saty. Accommodation and dinner

• Transfer to the village, checking into cozy traditional yurts. A hot homemade dinner and a full rest await the guests before heading into the highlands.

08:00 — Breakfast

• A nutritious morning breakfast, final packing of hiking gear and equipment.

08:30 — Departure to the start of the route

• A short transfer to the first Kolsai lake (1,818 meters above sea level).

09:00 — Start of the mountain trekking (Ascent to Kolsai-2)

• Start of the walking ascent. To ensure you hike light and get maximum pleasure from the hiking, all tents, sleeping bags, and heavy things are transported on horses. The trail goes up along a turbulent river through wild alpine meadows and majestic relict forests.

12:30 — Arrival at the second lake. Setting up camp

• Reaching the middle lake of the Kolsai system (Mynzhylgy, 2,252 meters). Lunch in the format of nutritious lunch-boxes on the shore. Setting up the tent camp. Free time for rest and mountain fishing.

• Radial walking trek to the highest, wildest, and most inaccessible lake — Kolsai-3 (a section of about 3 km, the total length of the walking day will be 9 km). This is a harsh and pristine high-altitude lake located almost at the very border at an altitude of about 2,850 meters, reached by only a few. Contemplation of untouched nature and return to the base camp.

• Hot camp dinner in the camp. Overnight stay in tents amidst the deafening silence of the Tien Shan highlands.

08:00 — Mountain breakfast

• Morning hot breakfast in nature with a view of the waking mountains, packing up the tent camp.

• A big walking descent from the camp back to the first lake Kolsai-1 along a forest trail. The length of the final trekking will be 18 km; the route goes predominantly downhill, opening up new morning angles of the gorge.

12:00 — Arrival at the SUV

• Completion of the walking part of the expedition, loading things into our car, departure towards civilization.

14:00 — Lunch on the way

• A big stop for a hearty and well-deserved lunch in one of the colorful places along the route.

18:00 — Arrival in Almaty

• Comfortable return to the city. Our guide will deliver you with all the equipment directly to the doors of your hotel or apartments.
